The 84 karst lakes of the Dumrea plateau, drawn as a scatter sized by surface area. Documented lakes, largest first: Çestija — 96.8 hectares, 100 metres deep; Seferan — 87.5 hectares, 20.8 metres deep; Merhoja — 65.5 hectares, 61 metres deep; Belsh — 26.8 hectares, 18 metres deep; Rrumbullakët — area not surveyed, depth not surveyed; Grekan — area not surveyed, depth not surveyed. The remaining lakes are small, seasonal, and mostly unnamed.

Most of the 84 aren’t on this list

The plateau holds around eighty-four lakes and roughly fourteen square kilometres of water in total. Most are small, seasonal, and unsigned — some shrink or dry out in late summer with the heat and irrigation. Only a handful are worth going out of your way for, and those are the ones we’ve written up — along with the woods and the Gradishtë hill. We’d rather document a few places honestly than publish eighty-four empty pages.
